Speaking and Listening are the building blocks of literacy. It is our intent that they span every aspect of daily life and learning at Cumnor and that explicit teaching of these skills is frequent and high quality. This will lead to competent orators and skilled listeners.
Drama is much enjoyed at Cumnor School and is used as a tool to provide a wide range of opportunities to develop these skills. These skills are then embedded across the full curriculum with pupil offer activities such as church festivals, class performances and community events, to showcase these skills and see use them purposefully.
