The After School Club is an independently run After School Club based at The Old School in Cumnor. We aim to provide quality care for children aged 4 years to 11 years at the end of the school day; from 3.10 until 6.10pm Monday – Thursday and 3.10 until 5.10pm on Fridays. It is a service offered to parents/carers who require regular or occasional after school care. The children enjoy mixing with a wide age group whilst taking part in a variety of activities. The older children enjoy teaching and helping the younger children whilst the younger ones learn from their older friends. It is hoped that both children and staff have an enjoyable time at The After School Club.
The After School Club is regulated by OFSTED and a copy of their most recent report is available on request. All our staff are CRB checked and experienced in working with children.
A completed Registration Form must be received before a child is admitted to The After School Club. Each place is allocated to a single child per session and is available for 1, 2 or 3 hours.
Regular bookings will be invoiced per term. An hourly rate is charged for each child, with reductions for siblings.
The children will be met by The After School Club staff at Cumnor Primary School at 3.10pm and walked down to The Old School where we have drink and a biscuit. The children then have a choice of provided activities. For those who wish to be active there is a large Hall for games eg, football, tennis, cricket; for those who like quieter activities we have crafts, dressing up and board games. Drawing materials and reading books are always available. Some children prefer to sit and chat to their friends.
